anybody know the part number for the upper intake plenum???

Hey guys I just sent two new 2003 5.4 heads to Extrude Hone to have Powerflow ported.

I was wanting to get an extra upper plenum (between throttle body and supercharger) and have it done as well.

however after much searching in the parts department, we were unable to find the damn part number to order a new one.

does anybody have any idea what it is or where I could get another one.

I know some vendors are selling already ported plenums, but I'd just as soon do it myself.

thanks,
chris

I am looking at the bottom of my upper plenum right now and the part number cast into it is YL3V-9A589-AA (the two 9's could be 8's though as the casting is pretty rough where the part number is). I've looked on all of the Ford parts sites and cannot get it to pull up using that part number. Hope that helps.

Dan

hey I may have answered my own question, REM is selling "ported" upper plenums on their website for $200 bucks plus exchange. at the top of the page it says: XL3Z-9A589-AA. That may be exactly the number I'm looking for.

later,
chris

Hey Chris; The call it a TB spacer. I had a problem once ordering a gasket for it; I asked for an upper intake gasket(going to SC) I found out Ford calls whats under the SC the upper intake. What we call the upper intake; Ford calls the TB spacer.
