Heres a pic of my C&L aluminum power tube, which costs less than competitors, with my water injection nozzle screwed in.

Here is a picture of my power pipe. IMO it looks better than the competitors, but my water injection spray nozzle is in the upper plenum.

Pro-M has blue filters for their meters and Accel has blue filters in universal applications ...http://www.mrgasket.com/accelmain.html

Go to the "online catalogs" and click on Kool Blue.

Am I the only one that hit the floor when I saw the ~$600.00 price tag??? How much of a difference is one of these things actually going to make? Seems awful steep...

Remember when I was called a liar for saying they would cost around $700.
Glad I was proven wrong!

Wouldn't a metal intake tube retain more heat than composite alternatives?

Would assume part of the high price is due to the special calibration required for this setup. BTW, who does the calibration on these? Anybody know?

The filter came with my new JDM Pro-M mass air. It has studs imbedded into the filter and its 9 inches long by 6 inches in diameter...

It actually runs as cool as a composite with faster cool downs, Mateus. Remember the rubber sleeves on each end act as insulators. The diameter of the tube is also a bigger diameter than REMs tube. With port work, it can be ported to around 120 mm, due to the fact that its 1/4 inch thick all around.

There is no way that a 1/4" thick metal tube will run as cool as a composite material. It will become heat soaked by under the hood temps and increase intake air temps no matter how it is insulated from the engine, whereas the composite material will absorb very little of the surrounding heat.

Not saying its a bad piece, just stating some truth to comments made.

Also, our tubes are 102mm and will flow plenty of air for the aftermarket blowers. They will not cave in under extreme boost conditions either, like the stock boot does.
