Question Trouble with ET Streets

I have been to the track twice with my 28.5 ET streets and have only been able to cut a best 60' of 1.89.... usually running 1.91's. I have no idea why the truck is falling on it's face right off the line. Traction is good, as observers have been watching that I don't have wheel spin and that I do have wrinkle. The tires are set at 16 psi and feel great upon launch. I am running 13.05 - 13.11 @ 105.7 mph. with these 60's. This should be a 12.8X truck easily if I could get a 1.80 60'......
I have tried launching all different ways... off idle, and anywhere between 1000 and 2500 RPM.
Any help?

My opinion is that ET Streets suck. But I think SOAP is/was probably the "ET Streets launching master".

LOL.......hardly a master.

Maybe I just got lucky with the setup I was running and the way I was driving the truck.

I found that with my setup.........

-ET Streets love heat.
-They work best at both launch and stability top end at 17.5-18psi hot
-Using stock convertor I launched at like 900-1000rpms.......anything over that and my short times were drastically worse.

My buddy that I always went to the track with was running a 6# lower to my 5# lower setup and he could nail 1.65-1.66 with the exact same launch techniques. We both used 16x8 wheels with 26x11.5x16 slicks. No tubes or screws either.

Good luck........
