You might have to do a little street racing to get used to the clutch. Maybe start hanging out with some ricers or something and get one of those BIG-*** tachs w/ a shift light.
God damn that is funny. Wrong, but funny.

We want video!!!!

Sounds like you guys had fun.

It should be a pretty flat surface at the line, so you shouldn't need your brake at all. Just hold in the clutch and keep the rpms at about 3k. When you launch....let out the clutch smoothly and slowly increase the throttle or moderate the throttle to keep wheelspin at a minimum. A good launch should squeek the tires, but not spin them. Good luck...I'm sure you can get a low 15 out of the Focus.

Where's the video?

What should the focus be able to run any ways? in the 1/4.

Sounds like a good time regardless of the outcome.

D-Day
