Red03SVT:

Thanks for the link...the chevy guy's do seem a little more
"settled and realistic" about the Lightnings in the last year.
I'm still debating between an 04 L or wait for the Gen III..
My guess is that the new L will be 40k plus and I don't
desire to pay that much...the risk is that when the Gen III
comes out and it's too expensive (for some of us) there
probably wont be any 04's left...

I consider myself a GM/Chevy guy (99 Blazer and 03 Yukon daily drivers) but after waiting for the Silverado SS to come out, I ran to my nearest SVT dealership and bought my L.

If someone gave me one of those SRT(urd)-10's, I would sell it for more performance parts for the L, the SS, and the TR.

I think there is something wrong. Did hell freeze over? Can pigs fly? I cant believe those guys are actually for the L. Its not that I blame them, but man, I never would have thought this day would come!

We are living in strange times and if you need proof of
miracles...there you go.

that's my sentiment exactly. lol!

Chris: I sold my 2001 LS1 camaro for my L. sometimes you just gotta have a truck....and sometimes that truck has got to be sexy, decently affordable, and HAUL *****

I hear ya there. I could have got into a Bullit or Mach 1, but I need a truck. To many toys to haul around and mustangs dont make very good tow vehicals. That and I wanted a L more that anything else.

There's no reason not to respect our trucks. They're fast as hell and fun to drive. Heck I'd give credit to Chevy if they could produce a Sport Truck worth a crap, and I have tons of respect for Camaro's and Vette's. A fast ride is a fast ride....
