You have desecrated a lightning by using it as a work truck. Good job on sending one to crap and making the value of mine higher to future collectors.

May it R.I.P.
It is your truck do as you wish; I just personally think it is kind of foolish to have a 32k sport truck with no carpet.

I have a good friend who owns a cement company and mason company. He hauls stuff everyday.
Lightning Looks TRASHED, paint all over it, scratches Deep in the platic bed.

BTW; he has a 6#, chip Bassani and it hauls a$$.

Why did he do a Lightning?

I am an electrician. I haul ONLY about 70 lbs of tools in the back. Have a bedrug already installed and a swiss patriot on order, it will be a BIG trunk.

As far as the carpet goes? I traded in a Ranger Edge without a scratch on it AND Im obsevvise about wash wax etc. Got SVT seat covers coming, but.... what to do IF my boots are dirty? Edge had rubber floor(cleaned easliy).. bought a F150xl rubber floor and will install it and put nice clean NEW carpet in storage. Soooooo when trade in time comes again, whose carpet will be in better shape?

And you know.... it would take me well over 8 hours to wax the ranger. It will take me whatever it takes to keep my truck clean and nice looking. I do NOT have the moola to have 2 vehicles and decided i wanted a truck that was a bit faster than the ranger was (4.0sohc, 5A, 4wd).

So, if in your eyes im 'destroying' the truck, fine whatever. But grease doesnt ever come out of a carpet right. Yes ill take pics

To keep the carpet spotless get the husky floor liners and centerhump liner. They work very well.

Hell yeah…

I say tear out the carpet and the sound deadening. Remove the spare, winch, jack, AC, and anything else. Lighten that baby up…

Or something…
