Goodluck on taking out the Carpet. It is your truck, do with it as you please. Don't listen to some people. They would cry if their TRUCK saw a snowflake. Have fun and enjoy and use the truck in anyway you would like! -Mat-

Dont knock no carpeting. Itss nice in work trucks, we dont have carpet in ours. It does have full air ride seats, wood console, kick Alpine, and more. All the works, but no carpet. And yes, the trailer has the same wheels that the Orange County Choppers trailer has.

Its his truck, he keeps it nice, so no big deal.

His truck, his choice.

Heck, if it were a true collectors truck most people wouldn't pull motors, install blowers, burn black rubbery tar all over the rear valance....lol.

Most of all, have fun with the truck. Everyday, every hour, they keep making more of them!

Benefits of using the lightning as a work truck!

I went to refill our welding tanks, and in the process of paying I wrote a check, I seen the cashier kind of perplex, so I asked him if the check was ok. His statement was “Any body who uses a Lightning as a work truck, I’m sure you’re check is good” That made my day!!!!!!

One question to ask is, how much is the carpet to replace? Why not just leave it in with some floormats that were mentioned above and then when it comes time to sell it order some new carpet or have the old one cleaned. One of the problem though with taking out the existing carpet is that you will need to get the "rubber floor" from the work trucks. You will know what I mean as soon as you pull up the carpet.

I have done lots of work with my truck. The bed is a little scratched up, and I noticed my center console has a slight discoloration where my arm rests on the way home after work. I bought a truck. If I wanted blower whine, and wanted to keep it pristine, I would buy a cobra and never drive it. To each his own.

I use my truck like a truck, others use their truck the way they want.

I wish I had a beater truck .... I would like to have an older super duty to pull stuff with and put miles on. If you have to use your L for work then the vinyl floor isnt a bad idea... I would have bought a different truck personally, if I knew I was going to use it that way anyhow... not so much because of potential damage, but its not very suited for work as far as cab/bed space, or off road ability

I have a dented and scratched bed and a discolored console due toe the fact that i actualy drive my truck. The truck is a company vehicle paied for by the company on the company insurance and i intend to use it that way when it is absolutly necessary. I plan on one day puting my truck back original and when that time comes year one will make replacement parts.

As far as the carpet goes? I traded in a Ranger Edge without a scratch on it AND Im obsevvise about wash wax etc. Got SVT seat covers coming, but.... what to do IF my boots are dirty? Edge had rubber floor(cleaned easliy).. bought a F150xl rubber floor and will install it and put nice clean NEW carpet in storage. Soooooo when trade in time comes again, whose carpet will be in better shape?
I am lost here. My carpet will be just as clean as your new carpet come trade in time... I'll just buy a new one and put it in... far less work than what you are about to embark on. Take new out, put plastic in, destroy plastic, then put new back in. It doesn't add up.

This cracks me up

Its the classic case of me and now. Wut I do now is right because its ME! you people cant see he uses the truck for some other thing than yourselves and you critisise him becouse of it. If you were somewhat logical you would look at the situation, see his side and then make your opinion, not make your opnion and then find out why its your opinion. Your not that ****ing special for having an L.

Thumbs up

I will admit that some of you are special but,
damn it I truely believe that most of you could cope with some degree of success leading almost normal lives amongst the general public.

I believe in you.
Never give up.
No matter what anyone says, never give up.
