Cool stuff @ the local drag strip
Went to Byron Dragway in Byron, Illinois yesterday for a regular 'ol test 'n tune day and look what shows up....by far the coolest collection of street cars I've seen at a drag strip.

Nice pics! got vids?
Hey there, I can add much insight to almost all of those cars. All but 2 of them in the pics were with me.
I've got a sonic blue L but didn't have it out. The Yellow Viper with the NOS on it is my boss. That car has gone 10.4 but we were hoping for a 10.2 or better today. After sitting in the stagin lanes for over 4 hours we said F-this and left. That placer was a big cluster F---. The saphire blue viper against the lightning was actually a good run, 12.2 for the L to 12.0 for the viper. That viper is a customer of ours. It should go 11.3-11.4 as is but he just got the car back and that was the first time at the track with not much seat time. The blue with white stripes viper is supercharged making 890RWHHP, adn 860RWTQ. It hower does not hook up for crap, actually has traction problems well into third gear with ET streets. That was the drivers first time to the dragstrip in that trim (he's a good friend of mine). The Supra is another buddy of mine, how does 980RWHP with an Automatic sound. Well he was having some trouble getting the turbo spooled at the liine. Cars has enough power to go deeeeeeep into the nines. I will hve my truck out at GLD this weekend and maybe us 41 when you guys are out there.

Sounds like the combined salaries of all your buddies probably hit deep into the $1M mark
Hey Tom, that Supra was the show stopper for sure, awesome car. October 26th @ Byron is our annual Lightning owners club meet. We usually get 20 or so trucks there so if you can make it mark it on your calendar.
I think the main reason the track was so packed (320 cars !!!) was because most people were avoiding watching the Bears
Spiderman races too !!!
Lightning Bob races his neighbor in the Camaro SS.

In the pic below you can actually see me in the backround by the yellow viper.
First off the is the viper that goes 10.4 (just a 150 shot on it. It is the fastest stock motor 150 shot 200-2003 viper in the country in the quarter). The silver Viper GTS has gone 11.8's on street tires with just headers and exhaust (that is unprecidented in a a viper). In the pic there are 4 of us:
First the team, we road race a porsche 911 GT3 cup car semi-pro and will be pro next year. The mechanic is on the left (works on all the cars, he also has a 81 monte carlo that just went 9.15 at 150 but will go in the 8's no prob), the owner/driver is the aian guy in the white shirt looking toward the camera. I have my back to you in the grey sweatshirt. That is SMS Racing (Schaumburg Motorsports Racinig). The guy on the right has a supercharged 2001 Trans-Am WS6 that goes in the high 10's on slicks. We all have a great time together causing trouble.
P.S. - as for combined income.......... Don't even want to think about combined, I know a few of them would need a couple extra 0's beyond your estimate.
