KB With a 3" Upper-Can't Wait
KB With a 3" Upper- Another 25 HP?
I am going to try out my new 3" upper on the KB tomorrow if the weather holds. I have been running a 3 1/4 with a 2# lower, and with the cooler temps, it is running pretty d@mn strong. I can fry the 305 Nitto DR's into third if I just stand on it. Should be pretty interesting with the three incher. I have been running BR7EF's in it, and although I wasn't overly pleased with them earlier, with the cooler weather they seem to perform better from idle all the way up. What kind of plug are you guys running with similar setups?
Speaking of weather (for you global warming enthusiats) a couple of days ago it got up to 73 in Fairbanks for a high, which is pretty unheard of for October. Amazing thing is that the low that day, 59, was warmer than the old record high!! Maybe I will be driving with the drag radials on a little longer than usual this fall

Mark, my set up is a little different, KB 3.25 upper, 9.25 lower - I am pushing 16lbs of boost.
I started stock as everyone does, quickly moved to Denso IT 22's, then to AR 93's and I am now very satisfied with Beru S1K's the silver tipped plugs.
We all have had varied success with plugs I think it is important to know you might have to try a few before a match is made.
Good Luck with the new pulley!

JDM is sending me my new PRO-M mass air with 2 ,103 octane files this week. Will retest at the track friday. Im running 92 mph in the 1/8th mile then the meter pegs and truck noses over going through the eyes at 114.
Ak,
Nice Indian summer weather up there. When I changed from 3.25" to 3.0", I picked up 2 #s boost, 26 ponies and 35 FBTQ.

I figured I would probably get around 17-18#'s like Easterisland. I do like that HP & torque increase you posted Nosurprise!!! Should definately feel that on the ***-o-meter.
Promodel, let us know how the Pro-M performs. I have noticed a few people happy with the Bru SK1's lately. Might order some over the winter, seeing how I enjoy changing plugs so much

My truck maxes the meter out at about 4,100rpm..
There are ways of tuning around it... You may have another problem promod..
Also my truck traps 92.x in the 1/8th too, but Im making much less HP than you.

mark, You will notice a big difference when you change the pulley. The 5 volt issue with the meter is something we have delt with a long time ago. as soon as i put the pedal to the floor the meter pegs almost that fast. we tune around that problem.. hope all goes well and you meet your goal....
