I don't think so,.........
I have a 93 Lightning SuperCab that was the very first one ever built by the company Full Effect in California. The Vin on this truck is not on the dash,(as it IS illegal to replace this VIN) it is on the door jam which was issued by the state of Florida.
So,......either way, I don't have to worry about that!

That's weird, mine came with my truck, right from Ford.
BTW, if you have a vehicle that has a FL issued VIN tag on the door jamb, you should do some serious checking. Find the factory VIN and run it thru carfax. Chances are you will find you vehicle was either a stolen/recovered, water damaged, or totalled by an insurance company.Keep us posted.

It is against the law (for an individual) to remove a VIN # from one vehicle to another, even though they just replaced the cab.
My truck is not stolen, wrecked, recovered or whatever!! I did run a CarFax on it when I bought. And I had it inspected (another wonderful law) when I had it transfered in my name!!
There was only (20) 1993 SuperCab Lightnings ever built. When the owner of this company first started doing the conversions, he did not know that he could "have" the VIN's transfered by an official from the Dept. of Transportation,......so the first 3 of the 20 that were built that year had the VIN on the door jam.
I have all the documentation to back this up!
