Straight oil, or is there any coolant mixed with it?

Hmm. May want to start checking the level to see how much is being burned. Can you tell if you've lost any power?

My guess is oil is bypassing the rings somehow, maybe through the exhaust ports in the cylinder head or valve guides.

Check your plugs.

Someone else may have a better idea of what to look for.

for what its worth-with my stock setup (rich) the water that sometime sputters out of the exhaust has an oily look and feel. The inside of the pipes get DARK black in a hurry, and will make the condensation look exactly like oil, and at the same time will have real basic/slippery texture just like oil. For it to be that much oil that has traveled all the way through your exhaust system, I would think you would have noticed some SERIOUS performance issues (ie compression loss) while you yourself mentioned that it ran great just last night.

This was what i was thinking but he seemed convinced it was oil. I don't believe its oil. Think about how it would have to get out. The only real way would be through the cylinder's which mostlikely would burn not just drip out.

Just as a test, i suppose if you can gather enough of the stuff and drop it in a coffee can and burn it. If its blue you got oil.

dang grinomyte, that's some good chem you been takin

I would just like to add my $.02 and say that my stock setup kinda does the same, cause it's really really rich and blows out smoke sometimes and occassionally drips water that looks like oil. do that test and post up the results. I highly doubt it's oil though. and if it is after just a small amount of driving you should see a decrease in your oil levels, provided that's the only problem and you aren't burning oil

let us know

Find anything out JRock ?

Like all are saying, for raw oil to drip out of the exhuast,
it would mean it's blowing past the piston, ring, or cylinder wall.
"And if it's not" then it would at least have to be blowing past a Valve Guide and or Valve Seal, (or Bent Valve).
Either way oil would be present at the plug, and would have to
effect the idle and performance somewhat.
Are you low on oil ? Are you low on water ?
Any water in the oil ? Any oil in the water ?

Please let us know how you make out

I'l pray to the L God's that it's just greezy H2O
