Grinding calipers to fit 15" wheels (lots of pictures)
I've got some 28x10.5 Hoosiers on the way...
I'm not driving the truck in the snow this year, I bought a 93 bronco to haul the dog and use to scoot around town and in inclement weather so the truck can stay inside.

chris

with 15's you get better traction due to increased sidewall and you have nearly unlimited choices when it comes to tire selection (size, brand, compound, etc) where with 16's you definately have fewer choices.
Nice pics Chris. Is there any caliper we can buy that comes smaller that will fit on our truck with 15's without any grinding? If there was, people pry wouldn't be spending all this time, making theirs fit...

WOW!!!!!
Definetly alot of grinding. I'm glad that I decided against getting the 15" slicks. My buddy had a set that he was going to give me, and for the price I would have paid for the bogarts I could have bough 16" wheels and slicks. Those D10's where $700 shipped where I got a price.

I dont think all that work was worth it for just slick's....... I would just slap on the one's that Rob-02 Has.......... Their my fave AmericanRacing rim's for slicks....... But to each his own !.... tHEy do look hot tho !
Man I don't know about messing with the brakes. As much as companies try to cut costs, I can't imagine that all that extra material you're grinding off isn't needed. I don't know if it's for strength, or for cooling, but it's there for some purpose. Hope it works out and you stay safe.
