If you are referring to the $5K he put up against promod, well, promod didnt show.
I thought there was a $5,000 challenge to whoever could beat the REM truck or something.
I was not there , So can somebody who knows fill us in.
Because if that is true and Jim made a challenge like that , then everybody would be all over him if he did not pay.

Paul, at REM, originally made the 1000.00 challenge. He stated that he would pay entry fees and 1000.00 to anyone who thought they could beat any of his Works powered trucks 3 weeks ago at Towershoppes here in Florida. He stated this to at least 15-20 Lightning owners, publicly stated. This Paul can absolutely not deny. And that 1000.00 is definately owed to Jim plus Jims entry fees. As far as Tim, and the $5000.00 challenge. That was publicly stated on the forum and may of been aimed at me, as far as hes cocerned. But, the conversation stemmed from the inferiority of the KBs and all other chargers. Even if it was aimed at me and I beat him, he wouldnt of paid me either. Good luck and may you have better luck than me....

This is where it all started

The South Florida KB , Works Challenge
It has come to my attention that Paul "Bin Laden" Riccio at REM Motorsports claims to have the fastest Lightning in Florida and announced a challenge to many Lightning owners at Towershoppes last night.....when and "if" [my emphasis] his truck is ready he will pay all entry fees and $1000.00 cash at Moroso Motorsports Park to anyone who can beat him with KB or Eatoncharged powerplants verses his 112 Porterhouse ......I will be there to represent KB at its fullest potential .....I need to make back some of the money I lost due to the many mishaps that were performed on my motor which cost me more money to fix what should have been done right the first time...I get much more common courtesy and respect from animals than the latter....the Zoo Crew will also be there representing the fastest Lightnings in Florida.....all are welcome to witness this "historical - theatrical event" or to represent.....The Blower Wars will comence.....I heard all these big hp#s coming from Paul "Bin Ladens" lean chip files, but Christopher Columbus also heard that the Earth was flat.....just bring it to the track, thats my untampered dyno.....

__________________There are some facts that should be addressed here, Pete.

1) We did not put your motor in your truck. You purchased it from us and it was installed (gratis, by the way, through our connection) by a Ford tech.

2) Although we did put the cams on the heads, the heads were installed by the same Ford tech, and timed there as well. This is daily work for him, and I find it hard to believe he put them in wrong, but we are all human, so that possibility, of course, exists.

3) You, to my knowledge have never blown a motor, so I don't know where you are going with that accusation.

4) If, in fact, the timing was off, it sure would explain why we could not get any power out of your motor.

5) We did, several times, request that you bring your truck back to us for continued assessment and refining, but you refused to do that. We even offered, at no charge to you, even though we did not do the install, to take your motor out, completely go through it and reinstall it, again, at no charge, while you were going to Europe for two weeks.

6) You were one of our best customers and we certainly did appreciated your business and tried to satisfy you.

Please tell me if any of this is not a truth to you.

ps....Pual was accosted by several people at Towers who were spouting about how powerful your truck was. He did make the statement that if you wanted, he would build his truck and race you. All of the other fodder involved is nothing more than words being translated through several people before it got to you.

Call me, if you'd like and we'll set up a race between you and I after Lightningfest, unless you can make it there.

Say for $5000.00
