Any interest in a Flood salvage 03L?

My truck got caught in the Hurricane mess here in Virginia and just found out they are going to total it. Im not 100% sure what buyback will be, but its a good start for a pure race truck.

I don't think the motor was hydrolocked, but there is water in the oil, water in the tranny. The whole truck was submerged for 40 hours in brackish/saltwater with the windows down.

Damage to the truck is: Scrape on front bumper, Small dent on hood, Small dent on roof, small dent on RF fender, small dent on Drivers door. Rims/tires good, interior looks like it will clean up quite nicely.

Truck was hit in an accident before and needed to be tweaked on the frame machine, Airbags didnt deploy, had front and rear bumper damage. Both replaced with OEM parts.

I think the insurance company will let me buy it back for 4-7K, and I'll sell it to somebody for what it cost me.

Im not trying to make any money off this. I would love to see it get turned into a race truck by somebody with the time.

Email me at sleeperstang@***.net or post here if interested

Thanks
Chris

Chris,

I'm definitely interested. I'm looking for another project since I finished my white '99L. I sent you an email so let me know what I can buy it for.

Many cars/trucks were left with the windows down, it was the only way for the owners to get out

In my case I had a friend with me and got caught in a flash style flood. The doors wouldn't open so out the windows we bailed. It seriously sucked. You don't understand the panic you feel reaching for the window button hoping the windows go down.

I'll email everybody that emailed me tommorow.

Thanks

FYI, I'm not trying to make any money off this, So im not buying the truck back to part it out. I would rather see somebody do something with it than a salvage yard chop it up.
