collapsed filter?

Went to Ford to day to check on the status of my truck and the tech pulled me aside and said "take a look at your filter(12")"....Well it was collapsed. Look like someone squeezed it. Now my question is.....Did it collapse from the JLP box,Pro-Glass cowl hood and ram-air set up? Or is it not getting enough air? I have a JLP outerwear filter on it so I didnt notice it until today. And....If it collapsed doed that mean I am losing HP's? And do I need a bigger MAF?

I run as high as 14-15 lbs of boost, Johnny's box, and ram air without ever having a prob. The only collapsed filter Prob's I've seen where from aftermarket S/C's sucking in tremendous amounts of air, even to the point, they colapse the filter.

I know of many using that hood without prob's too

Whats you Mod List look like ?

Hey now, don't forget the Manley rods!! Don't give those guys without them any ideas that they can run what you do without throwing one through the block.

Nice list of mods....I did have a filter collapse on me once, but the metal edge down the filter was already slightly bent. I was running 18psi at the time. 20psi and no problems yet, so it may have been a weak filter.

Wow. Putting down these numbers on the stock eaton? Thats amazing! No head work, no cams? Nothing? Thats where I want to go. I want to run the stock eaton real fast, and crank out amazing numbers like that on it.

i am going to try a new filter....without the outerwear on it....My numbers are thanks to a good, good tune and the SMC kit really helps. The Eaton will be coming off soon and I will be trying the new MP blower in a couple weeks. Believe when I say, this Eaton is pumping out mad heat and the nitrous/alcohol really help to cool it down. Crower Stage 2 cams are on the workbench awaiting installation.

Ya, id say that set up, is sucking in a tremendous amounts of air
alright.

Real nice setup 400HPHD,
AND AMAZING NUMBERS,

I got to believe someone makes a re-enforced filter for
an air sucking monsters like that ?
ANYONE KNOW OF ONE ???

Like I say I run the extra large filter, (don't have your Prob, BUT)
I think it would actually be pretty easy to fab some kind of a
Steel Wire frame that you can insert into it ?
Just a thought, if it happens again....

BTW
It's decided
Your my new God
Hi Boost, Big Nitrous HP, a man after my own heart.
