Save yourself some money and get yourself a deep cycle interstate battery.
It has a much longer warranty (6yrs) and cost less money. The Optima battery, while great, has next to no warranty on it. My Interstate Deep Cycle battery has 850 cca, plus I did'nt need to install a new battery tray.

Having a 200amp alternator helps alot also!

Ive had my red top for over a year now with no problems. I personally like how easily it starts my truck and how fast it recharges. I have completely drained it 2 times and it rechrged to full in under 1 hour. I think Optimas are excellent batteries..

Why does everyone think that because your lights dim, ect. that you need a new battery or alternator. Buy a fared cap, bat cap is the best one to buy and they all work great. Save the wear and tear on other items and just buy a cap.

just a single farad cap will take care of the dimming lights? NOT!

see the "amp" in between the ti600 and the zx475?

thats a 15 FARAD CAPACITOR!!!

look at the bottom box:

my lights STILL get dim at full volume, so i wanna get a bigger alternator.

clonetek I am not knocking you for wanting a bigger alternator, but you are not the only who says "when my bass hits my lights blink" ect. I know car stereo well enough to know what is behind the seats of your truck. You may need a new alternator, but I have seen many posts from people "needing" batteries and alternators because their lights blink because their "300 watt amp hits so hard" Trust me I know all about draw on a battery, especially with the last big install that was 6000 watts in a S-10.
