Pumpkin too low.......
What that means is that NO part of your suspension should be lower than the lowest part of the wheel rim.
Meaning..... if you have a tire BLOWOUT you will still be riding on the rim and have some controll......
If any part of your suspension is lower than the rim, and you have a blowout.......... your not going to have any controll.

The cop should have explained it better.

So do I.

Don't strain yourself for a witty comeback though, your first attempt was pretty weak.

Bagging, hydraulics, raising, lowering, etc. all okay in California as long as you don't exeed maximum/minimum ride height, and don't make changes while on the roadway. In our area, if you get caught raising/lowering out on the street, they will stop and cite you, which means removing the equipment before they will sign off the mechanical violation portion of the citation. The only acception is car shows and designated areas where the "low riders" have petitioned for a special waver so they can bounce the **** out of their cars..................

I hate cops too, they eat all the good donuts before I get there...

'01's wife here.

As far as cops go............ I guess I am neutral.

Rick has been pulled over 3 times in 6 months in the Lightning (since we moved here). He has gotten 3 warnings.

I was pulled over in the Tribute by one of the same highway patrol officers as Rick. I also got a warning (amazing......... I never get warnings.......... always tickets).

So, it is annoying getting pulled over, but cool that they gave no tickets............ especially since we both have clean driving records and Rick has a CDL.

I do understand them being harsh here though. It is a summertime vacation spot and close to the lake. Thus you get a lot of idiots (and sometimes a lot of drunk idiots from the lake) here. It is amazing that not too many people die on the roads here. I guess it is from the very aggressive patrolling.
