just got into wilmington oh right out side of mainevile to have my trany worked on tomorrow by gregg, well i see this real nice red "L" with some real cool 20's and mirror tint, so i follow him for a couple of blocks, and pull up next to him and he rolls down his window, and i say pull over , i want to talk to you, he says why?
i say do you ever visit f150online he says yea, i say i am st elmo's fire from c' ville and am getting gregg to build my tranny, he just goes oh with a smile and takes off, like i am impressed, hey i own a lightning to, and it's a hell of a lot faster than that one was, all i wanted to do was shoot the *****, i was driving my friends old dodge, and he took off as fast as possible WTF!

 

That's so not cool! Hope the rest of your trip goes well! I'll give you a buzz when you get back...with your transmission fixed you will be the newest member of the 12 sec club when we hit Richmond later this month!

I had ANOTHER ONE the other day myself
I pulled up to him, side by side, Black and Black,
I'm waving and getting all excited,
he didn't even acknowledge I was there.

And to boot it was one trick A$$ Lightning,
lowered, beautiful Grills, custom lenses, aftermarket exhuast,
and it even sounded like a built motor judging by the idle
and sound of the cams.

Not the 1st one that outright refused to even acknowledge
me, and prob not the last.

Hope the SOB spits all 8 plugs out through the Hood

I'm only 20 min. south of wilmington , in a town named hillsboro. Not everyone is like that around here. Sorry to here that a fellow L guy didn't want to talk. I'm hitting the track today down in Cincy to try for 11's Again. Have fun up there and keep the speed down in that town, highway patrol office is in the center.

If someone in a dodge truck asked me to pull over so he could talk to me..... I would make a run for it .... and maybe call the cops.
But seriously, some people like nice fast cars, .... but don't like "car people". You know the kind of people i'm talking about. .. the ones you run into at the drags, or swap meets, or whatever. They wanna talk your ear off..... My car has "this" my car has "that" blah blah blah.
The guy you ran into probably liked nice vehicles, but was not a "car person" .... but he sensed that you were. So he left.

 

I know who the guy was, he works for the trucking company that ships Monster Boxes and has a valve body I gave him for free, I'll be whapping him upside the head with a spare output shaft Monday when I take a few Monster Boxes up to be shipped, (busy weekend, I built 4 Monster Boxes today)
