Cageless Pullleys

Has anyone had any front main bearing troubles running a cageless lower pulley. The reason the cage was originally included was to help elimintate the chances of a problem.

One of the tuners broke a crank off near the front recently. Rumor was it was a cast crank but the requested pics never showed up...

The cage was included to eliminate chances of a problem?

Well, since the stock pulley weighs a fawking TON, the cage is necessary.

Cageless pulleys are very lightweight in comparison so to answer your statement/question. Not that I've seen, read, or heard about.

whats nice about cageless pulleys is that they actually come off when you need them too

one of the local tuners told me it can wear out the thrust bearings, but many people have been running these motors many miles without problems

cage

I went with JDM's cage pulley it screws on like the stock one no three bolts to worry about coming loose just my 2 cents also eather one you use you may have some new blower belt noise at idle in gear with the AC on (belt flop) otherwise fine

you know a really cool thing about the cage-less pulleys?

if your accessory belt was to ever break, you can replace it without removing the stock (or aftermarket caged) pulley!!!
