Just a little cruise

No kills, no racing just a little cruise.

Took the L out, went to the local Ford dealer to check things out. They have 7 new 03s sitting on the lot. As I rumble through the lot a sales person yells over ( wanna sell her?) hell no, thanks all the same hehe. I take off with the signature whine and JDM catback growl

Pull up to a set of lights and some hottie motions for me to lower the window Ah this drive is getting better hehe.

Well as I get near home the reason for the drive in the 80 degree sunset nears. My Lightning turns 20k. What a great 20 thousand miles, the most fun I have had in any truck/car. Nearly 3 years of power fun

Just sharing with you guys, nobody else understands.

Sounds awesome, maybe some night soon I'll be able to join you. I'm thinking about transfering up there, need to get out of this town and i heard their ME program is nationally ranked fairly well. I'm gona talk to an advisor soon though, so.. but that would be cool. What colors did they have?

I understand. If I didn't I would have traded my truck in on one of the ten 03 cobras my dealership has. We've got a real nice truck. Shane

I am short a few zero's, about to turn 2000 miles and the excitement has just begun.

It is amazing how many people you catch out of the corner of your eye, drooling over our L's.

I was at the dealership this morning and half of the garage was admiring the engine bay, what a great feeling!

The only car in my past that I can remotely compare is my '99 C5 and there is something about our L's that puts them out in front!

Awesome!

D-Day

Me too: My favorite time of the day is at the end of MY day I get to drive twenty-five miles to pick up the kids from school. It's that time by myself, hearing the whine that puts a smile on my face. The bad part is that it brings out the ****heads. I've been cut off, flipped off, you name so often for doing nothing that it does cast a small shadow over owning the L.

I'm not a kid so no flames, but if you do 75 in a 70 zone and pass some POS whatever, they so often get pissed and will do something. I never had a problem when I was driving a Taurus, but then I'm really not complaining just stating one of the hassles thats all.

Oh yeah just filled up and got my best mileage ever. 13.8mpg. woohoo

Mine just turned 37k miles.... I loved it when it turned 20k..its in it's prime at that mileage...now I have almost double that....I wish I had a beater car so I could keep my truck for shows and the track only. I guess I could sell my body for extra cash...
