The VIN # must be 17 characters long (1981 or newer only). I don't have a current carfax account though....

damn, this was for a 1960 F100

Actually Trashguy I think carfax just doesn't do cars previous to 1981.. kinda a bummer. I'd be very interested to see something like that (50-page carfax)

Ain't that the truth. I rememberwhen a new car could be had for under $2000.00. My grandmother bought a brand new 1966 Ford Mustang for a little over $2500.00 and we sold it in 1988 for about that amount. 6 cylinder automatic granny car.
