Question How much do you guys spend on tires?

I had a blowout over the weekend... looks like I may have run over something. Anyway it turns out I need to get 2 new tires, the one that blew out (rear driver) and another one that is wearing unevenly (front pass.) thanks to my alignment being off.
The local dealership gave me the price of $483 for 2 tires mounted, balanced, including tax. Which doesn't seem too far off the the Tirerack price. Alignment is another $76.95 so it comes to a total of $559.95 for 2 tires & alignment. That sound about right or should I consider some other options. Seems like nobody stocks our tires so I probably won't be able to do anything until tomorrow or Wednesday. I just waxed the truck Saturday too... now I got this nasty spare on my driver side ruining the good looks.

That price seem about right. I just got 4 new tires this weekend, but decided to go with NITTO NT 555 Extreme Performance tires to try something different...I don't like the Goodyear's in the rain. My point is my subtotal without an alignment was $1006.96 and the Nittos are cheaper tires (they're not screwing you over with that price).

I purchased 4 F1's from Tirerack.com for $160 each when they had them discounted (not sure if they still are) and $80 to have them mounted and static balance.

I had one of my tires go bad on me, (bad casing so the tire guy told me).
I started researching tires, prices, brands, etc. I finally decided on f1s from the tire rack ($165 each+ shipping) for the front., and nittoDRs from online tires ($230 each + shipping) from onlinetires for the back.
But then I stumbled across a nice used one for $90 dollars at a local tire shop.
So..... $90 dollars for tires in 25,000 miles of driving.

This is ridiculous... guess what happened on the way home? My front pass tire decided to go flat on me. I made it home since it didn't blow out like my rear one but this is nuts. This morning I ordered 2 tires... I just called back and am going to change that to 4 tires.
2 flats
1 balding from misalignment (saw this at lunch today)
1 that I just pulled a small nail out of that I no longer trust
____
4 new tires

This has not been my week.
I just made the first payment on the thing on Friday too. Argh.

I buy Pirelli PZero Asymmetrico's for my truck from TireRack. $318 a wheel.

Matter of fact, I just bought 4 + road-hazard, cost me $1500. Weee!

Let me guess ... Scrubbing the drivers side inside?

If so, you need to fix the Herb Washer ... LOL

Nobody has worse luck with tires than me

A bunch of nails the first year, one tire and wheel stolen last year at the track, two rims and slicks stolen this year. Then on the way home from Virginia FFW I hit some road debris and blew a tire and bent a rim 300 miles from home.

I just saw a screw in my right front today.

The saga continues.

I guess Im lucky so to speak! I go through a set of nitto 555r's in about 6k (420 a shot) and just replaced the front F1's after 29k (320 a shot) but I do my own mouting, balancing and alignments so I dont have to encoure those costs, just the tires!
I did however drive through a box of nails at 1k and GoodYears road hazard ate the cost of 4 F1's (had over 32 nails front to back) I guess 4 flats at once was the only bad luck so far!
