You should be able to get the box from any online place. They are Ford dealers after all.

 

I tried the part no. for the gear box at several online sites. "No part found". I think I may call Gary at fordpartsonline.com. If the 03' re-valved Lightning gear box can be bought, he will know.

 

It appears that I have been experiencing a DECREASE in "on-center" steering feel and an INCREASE in "Lash". I am going to check with Energy Suspension about their front end bushing kit. Maybe they have a kit for the front end bushings and control arm pivot points that will improve steering.

I already put a want ad on this site for an 03' Lightning steering gear box. I tried car-part.com with no luck.

.......searched for prices on an 03' Lightning steering gear box. Some wanted $700 to $800!?! I tried to get a hold of "Gary" at fordpartsonline.com. He was always very helpful. However, now, fordpartsonline.com takes me to an order center in Texas (was in California). They are the cheapest so far. They want $490.46 + $200 for a core charge!?!?!?!?!?!??!
