Yes I was attempting to being discriptive. Has nothing to do with race. It's a discriptive word.

immigrant: NOUN: 1. A person who leaves one country (or the state of Texas) to settle permanently in another country (or State if from Texas).

2. A plant or animal (or a Texan) that establishes itself in an area where it previously did not exist.

Ok I added the Texas part .

When more people STOP worrying about being political correct then the country will be a MUCH better place. We have no room for the extremely small minority of people who wish to push their tiny agendas of the vast majority of society.

If she was an immigrant then that is what she was. There is nothing wrong with being an immigrant “if they are legally here”. I have no problem with those immigrants legally here and who can speak the countries “official” language of ENGLISH…
Wow, this must be from some one who has never had to enter a restaurant from the back or have been denied service! Or who has been stopped and searched just cuz you fit a profile!

There is no agenda here and I like many other immigrants have worked hard to get what I have. My attorneys fight my battles for me and right my unjust!
I have heard the get a sense of humor far to many times!

Tim, I know no one said any thing about race they talked about Immigrant's.

Not looking for a fight with you Tim or any one else on this board. I am just touchy about this subject cuz my family and I have had to endure the wrath of this.

Peace, Suavy

It's obvious you don't earn 132k a year by dealing with the public.
No actually I am a Manufacturing Advisor for Ford Motor Company. I have 40 employees that work for me and we manufacture the 4.6 litter crankshaft.

I'm amazed at the amount of people that have no clue what their looking at!
Less than 25,000 units total on the road at this point considering there are something like 150 million cars thats pretty miniscule!

I don't understand why it is always and instance of race, the fact that she was an "immigrant" was pertinent to his point, saying that:
1.) she has possibly not been in the US for very long and
2.) That as far as I know the L is not too prevalent in foreign countries.

He used the word as an adjective, had he referred to her in a deragatory manner or said "that damn immigrant" then you would have a case....would you be pissed if he said the "asian" girl at the KFC, or the "australian" girl at the KFC, or would I be pissed if he referred to her as the "white" girl at the KFC, NO, because she was in fact an immigrant and the useage was far from derogatory....

This rediculous sensitivity is what creates more racism....Just my $.02 take it for what it's worth.

Damn, here we go with ”Feel sorry for me” enter the back of a restaurant or been denied service. Give me a break, people who use that crap use it as a crutch for wanting others to feel sorry for them for who they are. If you’re not proud of who you are then oh well that is your problem, but that type of whining makes me laugh.

You my friend do NOT have a clue about “hard times” or entering the back of restaurants due to being an immigrant as they were many of years ago. It was a sad time in our history but it is history. There is nothing you can do about it and nothing I can do about it, learn and move on. So time to get on with your life.

Obviously if you make 132k a year, of which I have no reason to question, then you have not had it tough at all and are using the ”Don’t hurt my feelings referring to me by my race”. Be proud of yourself as many others are proud of themselves. You’re doing much better then me if you’re making 132k.

Oh and by the way about 2 years ago I was stopped and searched because I fit a profile. White male, 6’ med build mustache driving a Ford F150. So get off the soap box because now days there is not to many people who feel sorry for those that whine about how unfortunate they “falsely” believe they are…

I had just bowed out gracefully a post or two back I'm trying to let this issue lie. I mistook some ones intentions so I agreed with the last guy! I'm not looking for your sympathy if I wanted I'd buy it! You say your 6 ft. tall that’s cool I'm 5' 10" 275 lb. Why don't we save this conversation and we can talk about it when we meet up?

You all can tell by my other posts that I am a lightning enthusiast and that's it. I should have kept my moth shut and kept my views to my self!

This coming year if my truck holds up I plan to be at quite a few events through out the USA I will be happy to share my views with you then.

Callightning, I apologize for the miss interoperation of the word immigrant!

You are correct and I went right by it after reading your response with my quote in it. Therefore please accept my apologies. I am hoping within a year that I too can become a proud Lightning owner, but with having a 14 year old daughter and raising her myself all I can say is we shall see…

Any how if you’re ever up in this part of the country, and God why would you be its woods up here, but if you find yourself up this way let me know and perhaps I can buy you a drink…

Not to drag this further...but if you were not allowed in the front door because of your race, the only reason you should have entered the back door is to kick the crap outta the guy that didn't let you in the front door!!!! Why support a resturant like that???

It wasn't me in that instance it was my mother and father. They lived in Holly Colorado.
Now days if I don't feel right I take my money else where.
