Too many L's

When the 18 year old immigrant girl at the KFC drive through says , "wow a Lightning!". You just know there are too many.

I wouldn't exactly say that. Maybe she just knows what the hell a Lightning actually is???:fyi:

There are 3 new Lightning's in my area that I pass on the street about two or three times a week. Definitely too many around.

Yeh, I get some of those "wow, a Lightning..." But, it is after they just looked at the truck, and saw the badge. If you continue on with most them you'll find most of them don't have a clue.

Gee, my family are immigrants and I have a lightning, Porsche, 3,600 sqr. ft home, and a 132K a year job!

I'm touchy about the race thing!

honestly, i think the Fast and The Furious movie opened many people's eyes to lightnings more than anything else (except seeing them at drag strips). i remember when a guy in a drive through asked me if it was one of "those" trucks from Fast and the Furious. he didn't know anything about the L's performance, he just recognized the aesthetic upgrades like rims, tires, and (I REALLY HATE THIS TERM, IT SOUNDS SO STUPID) the "body kit" that it comes with from the factory.

I'm an immigrant also. There is no horse. However I didn't expect her (two years in the US) to know what a Lightning was. The word immigrant is not offensive to me, if it is to you I apologize for being politically incorrect. Sorry if I offended anyone, I didn't mean to. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and I generally know better.

My point being, in 1999 no one knew what a Ligthning was, and now what I consider the last person that would know, does.

Here in aruba there are only 2 Lightning
Some people doesn't know what a lightning is and some does know what a lightning is
Me and the other guy rarely take our lightning out for a drive
I drive my L only in the weekends

We've got a small pile of Lightnings here in NJ, including JDM's shop and Englishtown, but I hardly ever see any besides AT the shop, englishtown and meets.

Lightning????

NO ONE knew what a Lightning was when I had my 93. They just all thought it was a cool looking truck.

Don’t sweat it and you are correct there is NOTHING offensive about the word immigrant or race it is a part of life and you have the freedom of saying what ever you wish. There will always be things that offend people and people have to understand how to be “mature” about reality and basically “get over their little issues”.

When more people STOP worrying about being political correct then the country will be a MUCH better place. We have no room for the extremely small minority of people who wish to push their tiny agendas of the vast majority of society.

If she was an immigrant then that is what she was. There is nothing wrong with being an immigrant “if they are legally here”. I have no problem with those immigrants legally here and who can speak the countries “official” language of ENGLISH…
