Post Back from the dyno.

Well no 500/600 club. Oh well maybe next time. Everything got rushed there because they had some POS turbo civic there that wouldn't rev out and then when it finally did it got a mind-blowing 174FWHP! YaY! So I didn't get any more then 5-10 minutes cool down between runs, so all runs were made at full operating temps. Every run was over 500RWHP and 580 RWTQ. The best was 511RWHP and 588RWTQ SAE. I believe JDM uses STD so I guess my gains were fairly good. Temps were between 75-80. Not very humid. My brother's truck put down 431RWHP and 560RWTQ SAE with a pretty mild tune(J39). Hit the gas on the way home and she pulled like it never has before. I am very impressed. I guess my next trip should be to the track. -Mat-

Mat,
Those #s are PHENOMINAL for a stock block w/o a cool down. With a proper cool down and I mean proper( hours if not longer), you were easilt in the 500/600 club.

Nobody thought these blocks could take that kind of power. Of course the L is not under any real load though.

cannot wait to see times.

What were your old numbers? Do you have the dyno graph that you can put up?

Dynoed at Pruven Peformance.
Old numbers were 496/582 STD
With the Eaton, numbers were 430/558 SAE
That is an 81/30 gain!!!!!!

Vinnie, I dunno, I figured why not try something different. See how fast I can get this thing to go on the stock long block. I have plans to do the motor anyways so what the hell. I have access to a brand new long block for what is a VERY fair price in my opinion, or I have a hookup at a dealership that could possibly get it covered uner warranty! It shall be fun going out to the track though.

Thanks for all the compliments guys, they are appreciated. -Mat-

Awesome numbers Matt, that is exactly where Willie (the tune's done in Miami last weekend) said our KB's should be with 15lbs of boost.

I was pushing 17lbs and he told me I could do one of two things, drop boost to 15 and see 500+ or invest in the bigger injectors. I think for the long term approach I am going with the injectors.

What is your a/f reading?

D-Day

A/F was mid 11's all the way if I am not mistaken. I think on one pull up top it hit 11.8, this is thru a sniffer.

Uniod, Thank you. -Mat-

Man, those are some kicka$$ numbers

I just put a KB on mine last week, and am running around 12psi. I'm not quite as brave as you are, but knowing with the proper tune, that those kinds of numbers are attainable is TEMPTING
Are you running Long Tubes?
What does your combo consist of?

I bought my KB from JL, and am having to tune the chip through the mail. I told him to keep it SAFE. The truck is making about 440rwhp(SAE) @ 12psi @5300 with an A/F of 10.5. Just wondered if you thought this was in line, or am I leaving too much power on the table? I ran her at the TX Motorplex on Fri. night and she went 12.50 @ 108.5mph in 85*and 80% humidity. Last trip before the KB was 12.99 @ 104.89 in 90* and 80% humidity(at identical boost levels). Check my sig for mods.

Any input is appreciated...

Rob

IMO a 10.5 is too rich. Not only are you leaving a lot of power on the line, running to ruch can also we unsafe for the engine.

Someone explain what is unsafe about running a 10.5:1.
Yes, I'm being serious. I don't know much about this and am not a mechanic.

This is just my opinion but it can leave carbon deposits, and it can harm the rings in the long run.
