Usually when you are running WOT is when the air fuel will be rich. So, in your opinion how long will it take for running 10.5:1 air fuel at WOT to ruin rings/leave significant carbon deposits? My truck has been running rich for over 17K miles now with the KB blower. When will it harm my engine?

I dont know but I wouldnt want to run that rich for that long. There is no advantage and it can also mess up the cats.

One of the words of advice that was given to me, from a master tuner and one of the highly respected guys on this board, who have a hellofa lot more experience than I was - rich (to an extent) is safe, especially if you are running a lot of boost. Both too lean and too rich are definitely dangerous as eatoncharged points out (regarding too rich).

I will keep their names out of it, because I don't want to spark a pissing match. Email me if you want them, I am very confident they can answer your question with technical details.
