Question throttle body gasket sealant?

put in an accufab t/b, getting the whistling noise under light throttle. I bought a new gasket from the dealership and was wondering if there is some kind of sealant i can use to ensure a good seal?

i thought that was just the throttle body whistling and not anything to do with the seal.

i dunno, i'm still trying to figure out if its normal or not... from the boards some ppl say its normal and some ppl say its unmetered air coming in... anybody? I figured i'd just replace the gasket since its only like $1.50 and see if anything changes.

My single blade has slight whistle to it just off idle. I would not use sealent. New gasket fine, but it's probably just the single blade.

This is a common problem when first installing a single blade throttle body....The first time I did mine, it came out good, no whistle, but when we did a friend of mine, his whistled...So he got a new gasket, and we redid it....I wouldn't use any sealant...Get another gasket, and be very slow and careful when aligning the throttle body to the intake and you should be fine....Also double check the rubber intake tube doesn't pinch underneath the throttle body, or where it connects to the air meter....And make sure to press in the 3 vacuum and pcv lines under the rubber boot.....
