Heres a couple of quickys...

Got pulled over for spinning the tires on my Mustang. {I was mad,not showing off}

While one cop ran my licenes the other looked under my car and asked if I did the exhaust work myself. I said yes. He said "I thought these cars were supost to have catalitic converters on them" I said "Well yes they are suppost to"

He never said another word about it,gave me my licenes back and told me to slow it down.

I was on my way to work one moring at 3am. Came to a light that always takes forever. The streets were completely deserted so I looked both ways and ran the light.

Out of nowhere a cop appeared and pulled me over.
I told the the truth. The light takes forever and the streets are deserted so I went on through.
He ran my licenes, told me not to do it again, and let me go.

Got pulled over once for 67 in a 45 on a 6 lane road.
Cop wrote me a ticket for the whole amount and asked what my home and work number was.
I told him that I was a truck driver and really didnt have a work number.
He looked back at my licenes than at me and said "Stay here,Ill be right back"
He came back and handed me a warning ticket and said "Look,Im not going to cause you to lose your job but you need to slow it the hell down"

In my younger days I was pulled over more times than i can count and I got out of way more tickets than i got. Most all the cops were professional and polite.

My advice: If pulled over,be honest and respectful. That goes a long way with cops. A BS story and a smartass attitude will get you a tickett everytime.

Got pulled over with 4 other cars while we were all speeding back to UF one Sunday afternoon. The cop walked to each car in line and I was the last one. He asked if I knew how fast I was going, and told him 85 (ie the truth, and no excuses). He said I was the only one who gave him an honest answer and he let me go with a warning while the others (3 of the cars were buddies of mine) got tickets. I have found that if you get busted speeding and go out of your way to QUICKLY pull over rather than play games like hiding behind semis etc, and by telling the truth you can talk your way out of tickets about half of the time.

Factoid Numero Uno:

The Cop will almost always ask you a question that he damn well knows the answer too. The reason he asks, "How fast were you going" is to see if you are a liar. If you have some integrity and tell him the truth, you've got a chance of getting let off, but if you give him the "around 70", when you know without doubt min 85, your toast.

Disclaimer to Factoid Numero Uno:
Unless he's a motorcylce cop. There whole purpose is to write traffic tickets, but you just never know.
