Dynoed the JDM long block need input.

This is supposed to be his best motor with cams, CNC heads, etc. I also port matched the upper intake and ran the following accessories. Acccufab TB, Fluidyne Xchanger, Cobra rotors and mild porting, long tube headers & Maganflow, electric fan, Art Carr 2000 stall triple plate, built trans etc.. After talking to Jim I expected to see 500rwhp and 600 rwtq. I have 1500 miles on the engine I made 447hp and 528 tq. I know there are a lot of these engines out there. Let me know if I am low or the 500/600 was high. I dynoed on a 6# lower making 13 lbs peak boost. I like the way it runs but am looking for a KB now! Thanks for your input!

That sounds nice for 13 psi.

I'm just trying to figure out the air fuel. It seems all these dynos I've been seeing lately are around the same #'s yours are. Is everyone is running 12 and higher now? Is it accepted that 12.0 is okay for WOT now?

Real good numbers for only 13lbs of boost. I am sure the heads will make you even more power once you bump up the boost.

Why is everyone posting STD numbers recently, doesnt anyone want corrected numbers anymore?

That is the sound of power, LOl. j/k I think the blower has some wear it will cavitate or grumble occasionaly at idle. Rotor knock or gear mesh I reckon. The tune looks good flat a/f and nice curves.

to me it just seems like you should be making more power than you did, but i dont know. maybe the eaton is at its limits at the moment. get one of the new magnum powers blowers.

STD is more accurate on forced induction apps in the summer. SAE was 6hp less yeaterday. SAE is more for naturally aspirated engines year round. SAE does not correct enough for instercooler efficiency and SC temps from summer to winter.

Wow! I never knew that their cams lopped so much that you could see the movement at the exhaust tips

Nice numbers APEX,
and nice sounding idle and exhuast
Nothing like a little lift and duration to shake it up a bit
Your really not running that much boost when you think about it APEX, most of us run that boost level daily on a 100% stock block with no problems.
Schitt I juice mine on top of that boost.
I think it's time YOU STEP IT UP MY BROTHER
give that bad boy some more boost

BTW
Cavatation is very common for some, not a big deal.
mine sounds like a desiel sometimes.
But that still doesn't compare to the winter start ups.
You should hear it in a 20 degree winter morning,
it raps, taps, ticks, clunks, rattles, and rolls.
It's done that since day one, even when it was 100% Stock
and Brand New

IT RUNS GREAT, SO WHO CARES...........

I understand what your saying about intercooler and S/C temps, but SAE factors in elevation, temp, baro and such so its a wash.

You have great numbers either way, so get that truck to the track and see what it can do.

ICE IS ONE OPTION

My digi cam has a low frame rate you can barely see the tips move. I had to add two more hangers to arrest them. Like he said STD is a correction it does factor baro and temps etc. The motor has been very quiet no start up knocks internally. Jim said I had a newer version of pistons that fit tighter. I road race this truck that is why I keep the boost down. Stan (Ruslow) runs this motor and a 4# lower. Anything else would over heat or cause problems top ending for a while. Still nobody with numbers on their long block?
