Which fan you choose depends partly on appearance. I prefer the stock shroud look but the OE type kits were too expensive.

Then I found this article by Soap- https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...hreadid=108957

Then I found Mads site at http://www.madenterprise.com/f150.htm I bought the Motorcraft two speed fan, a Cobra Pump with underdrive pulley (don't bash me) and Mads slick three stage controller. All in with UPS it cost me about $375.00.

Mad is cool, no hard sell. I sent him a MO and he shipped my stuff same day he got it, just like he said he would. I had a question on the controller at about 7pm (his time) called him, left a message and he called back in about 10 minutes. Wow, only other time I had service like that was with Gregg at FT.

Someone mentioned earlier that the stock water pump will hit the e-fan if it is not replaced, this is not true (with my setup at least). I have the flex-a-lite 270 fan and the stock water pump on my L (about 15-18k miles now). It may be true that you have to replace the water pump with some of the other kits. I'm extremely pleased with my e-fan (I prefer the dual fan setup), it moves plenty of air and keeps my truck cool under every condition i've come across down here in Florida.

It's not for the radiator.

ok heres the deal, he want's a fan that flows enuff air for towing. but want's to keep it stock looking, ie fan shroud ect. he also wants to keep the stock waterpump if possible. now who makes a fan to do all this, and preferably one that does not mount through the radiator.
