If I remember right removing the fan was about 7 or 8 rwhp and 12 pounds of torque on the dyno. An electric fan should produce the same results. Skip

So it's really too close to call. BUT, I have no experience with either. Everything I know is from reading these boards, so I'm just bench racing.
I've never read about failures with the meziere pump, but wonder about how it would stand up in a daily driver application.

I know cyntaxx had one that worked great till he decided to pull it off. (Still dont know why he pulled it )

There was a post awhile back that had a link to someone's dynos.

The summary of the page was that most people reported gains but pretty much everyone dropped in the efan and the pump together. They tested them one on one, and the cobra R pump lost a few HP. And considering a few (or everyone, I dunno) gained some temp then I decided I would get that pump. Waist of my easily money!

Tim (El Esqueleto),

No flame intended, thank you for always have great input!
You misunderstood. I do not have any particular opinion on the "Cobra R" pump. It was designed to increase horsepower by reducing flow (parasitic losses). It usually works fine on the 5.4. Some people have found power losses. Some may have found the opposite, but few take the time to dyno the e-fans separately from the pump and therefore wrongly attribute gains to the pump.

But I would be concerned about the underdrive pulley and "Cobra" pump at the same time. You are double slowing down the stock flow rates. If you install them both, keep an eye on temps.
