There was a guy on the forums a while back ran 20#'s for 30 minutes and blew rods. Most tuners say 12-13psi is the most for safe stock motors. Some run 14-16psi but are willing to replace the motor when it goes. That is what I have gathered.

Too be honest Steve....the 18# setup I think was scary enough.....the 20# , no timing setup I have now is definately overkill...I just want to test the streetability of all my pulleys and I still have 3 left......

I can run 20-22# on the street with mine, but then again I have a built motor. I rarelly push it over 18# on the street, nobody can keep up to me anyways. Yes mine is a daily driver with 55,000 miles on the truck.

When I go to the track I put slicks and 104 race fuel in and go racing. Thats the only change I do. I have some smaller upper pulleys but really haven't tried them out yet since I have just been bracket racing this summer. Once the fall comes, I plan on trying those smaller pulleys and see what it will do.

I don't think so, since i race at 4760 lbs

There are a few trucks that are close to 4000 lbs, and a few more at around 4200 lbs. That 400-600 lbs is a big advantage

Thats a nice way of putting it....I think my 1000hp Eagle rods and billet crank can handle 22#s plus....my only short falling is my stock fuel line.....

I run 20psi on the street, mine is driven a couple times a week. I haven't had any issues w/ IT24's, other than some misfires when it's cold. Having said that, I'd recommend no more than 18psi on a daily driver. The trucks are sick with that kind of boost. Very scary at 55mph and under....you can spin at will.

I run 20psi (6lb lower and 3.0" upper) on the street and ran around 22 psi (2lb lower 2.5" upper) for about 10K miles. I have over 15K miles on the truck since April. Does that qualify for a daily driver?

Easterisland,
I see 20psi with a 10lb lower and 3" upper. Do you run long tubes, cats, or have any head work? Just curious as to how well everything is flowing in my truck.
