insurance

I was kind of nervous about the insurance premium on the new L i purchased last month-I mean come on, 380/450 are serious numbers to say the least, and is quite a jump over the last f150 I had. My insurance premium went up a whopping $60.00-for the entire year! I had planned on much more than that. I am not upset at all, I just wondered if this truck had "slipped" through the cracks, or if people just dont know what it is? This truck is more powerful than a vette (maybe not faster, yet)!! Just curious.

Cost me just over a Thousand per yr here in NY
THATS GREAT

The funny part is, my 02 Lightning cost me $1K per yr, but
my POS 90 Jeep with no Coverage is $40. 00 less per yr
(no fire, no theft, no glass, etc.., just basic Comp)
WTF is up with that

The funny part is when I had a 2nd new car with full coverage it was only an extra $7 or 8 hundred per yr, but the
Older POS Jeep with no coverage is hundreds more.
You seem to pay more for NOT HAVING Fire and Theft on an OLDER car with Nation Wide Insurance ?

Thanks to some strange logic at the insurance company, I pay less for insurance on the L than my 4x4, for the same coverage. Reason? L is 2 wheel drive, not 4 !

one of hte main reasons why i have a lightning instead of a sports car

cheap *** insurance only 1800 a year full coverage and im only 18

i can never afford 3 grand a year insurance on a car like some of my friends

A clean driving record makes the dif.

I have full coverage on both my daily driver, '95 F150 and the '03 L (has to be that way for the business) and I pay $1100 with Allstate and that's with zero comp deductable on the L. Just incase she gets a scratch.

MadRabbit, the 4x4 is more expensive due to the fact it is more likely to be taken off road, therefore higher risk.

The real question is how long am I going to keep that clean driver record, now that I have the L?

Dan

C5 & L. costs me $1,700.00 a year.
L. alone is around $650.00 w/ Comprehensive & collision.
