Ok i was at the track sat. night at california speedway and i see this white chevy 2500 hd single cab Turbo Diesel, Im like man, he is gonna get spanked ,next thing i know he ran a 12.95!!! I was like, wtf. so i talked to him afterwards, he has a stock engine, trannsmission work, and computer modifications, thats all. I was like dang, thats freaking faster than my L =(.

 

I think he is lying to you. No way in hell is that truck gonna go a 12.95 with just a programmer. Probably has, full exhaust, upgraded turbo and intercooler and a bunch more. I just don't see it happening. Sorry. -Mat-

 

I agree with SVT, there is no way in hell his stock diesel with just a programmer went 12.95 in the 1/4. it's just not realistically possible.

theres a pretty well modded dodge diesel that runs mid 13s (single cab - short bed) at the local track. he has much more than just a chip....i doubt that guy is telling the truth..

I know they can run that ET with Propane Injection along with the reprograming, and bigger Turbo.

the dodge turbo diesels, 6 cylinders, around here have dynoed over 800 hp and 1000 lb/ft to the wheels, I'm not sure but I think they were on stock bottom ends, why can our blocks handle that?

yeah dude, he is lying, i got a friend here who has been looking into chips for his Duramax and he found one that on there test truck with only the chip it took it to 14.18. We got a local guy here in memphis i have seen at the track, he ran a 12.89 last time i saw him run, but he has running chip, exhaust, NOS, and propane. 4 wheel drive 4door crew cab. Funniest damn thing i have seen when he goes up next to a nice SS or stang and covers them in black smoke and leaves there butts. but now way is that guy doing that with just a chip.

 

Not sure if you guys have seen this yet. Pretty cool if you ask me.
