Man I hope Sals kit was worth the 4 hours of aggravation it took my to install this kit....if I had my stock heat exchanchanger it would of bolted right up..but with the Fluidyne heat exchanger its all custom fabricating.....

Thumbs up

I think you will be very happy with your fast air kit. I think mine is one of the best mods I have done! I friend checked out my air intake temp with a auto tap and the air coming in to my motor was only 1 degree warmer than the outside temp after driving only a short distance. Jim

Can you let me know what didn't fit with the Fluidyne heat exchanger? Maybe a pic or two? I might be able to offer a different mount for those with them if it's that big a change.

Ill send you a pic Sal, looks great though...used your same brackets but moved to only the top hole on both..and drilled and tapped 1/4 20 into frame 6" from front stub for 1 mount and the other bracket, long one, I reversed and bolted to angle piece on the shock mount....took me 2 hours playing around to figure it out....

Just installed it a couple days ago and am very happy with it so far. Haven't track tested it yet but truck feels stronger especially on these colder nights we've been having up here. Think its time for a real boost gauge, stock one just breaks off now

What do you think of that IC exchanger? I have been thinking about getting one of the "cheaper" versions...

JDM claims a 38 degree drop in IC temp with it....takes 1 gallon more over stock....I like it...I also have two 8" inch spal fans hooked to it...

Jeff- Fluidyne is now making the heat exchanger WITH the brackets to fit the Lightnings(Before you had to get them fabbed up by your local aluminum welder.) You can buy from them direct if you so choose to.Pro-mod has the ultimate heat exchanger set-up with not just one but TWO cooling fans on switches! Yea, Promod ,I divulged one of your top secrets!!
