The only way to get the proper build date is to call the 1-800 number listed in this post. You give them your VIN and they will give you the build date and production number.
They did not start production until 12/9/02.

I think that Nuhklz got sold a regular f150 and was told that it is a lightning.
I will call again tomorrow to make sure that I wasn't given the wrong information.

He!! yes, it does....IMHO. If they print the certificate with that date, that would be cool.
The actual, real live, no I am not chitin ya, first official date of production was 12/09/2003. That is pretty cool.
When did you take delivery and where?

I was just looking through some old posts of when some of us first started getting our vin numbers and arrival dates. After looking at some of those dates we posted some of that, I am now thinking that the fine folks at the SVT 800 number may have given me some wrong info. Doing the math, I don't see how 12/9 could have been the first date of production. Oh well...your truck is still special...LOL....it is a Lightning after all.
