Question rear shackles

I would like to drop the rear of my 99 about 2-3" and would like to know if there might be any problems. I have JDM full stainless exhaust with two Magnaflo mufflers and Truck-traks. Also, do you think the pinion angle would still be o.k.?

I know the '03's have "beefed up" leafs and as a result you end up with a very stiff rear when you drop her. This can be relaxed by raising both of the sway bar arms on the frame rail. I don't know if that applies to your year or not? Just a word of caution...........

I have been driving with a 3" drop and have yet to make the adjustment. It is really tight and I am confident it is affecting performance from a traction point of view.

Good Luck!

Dan

i dropped mine using JLP 3" shackles, and i looks good, the back end is just slightly higher than the front, so it look almost level, because if it was totally level, it would look like it is sagging. the sway-bar does need to be adjusted. it is suppost to be slightly angled forward, and with th drop, i is angled backward. i can be fixed by drilling holes in the frame higher up to raise the sway bar, shortening the endlinks, or using adjustables made by SoCal Speedshop or Competition Engineering
