I have a Works 140, this whole KB Works thing is silly in my eyes. They both are going to produce a lot of air and it's what you do around all that air that is going to make you fast or faster.

Seems to me that the people who currently own them, have more air than they know how to deal with. I dont think anyone is running these blower to their full potential because they havent figured out the other parts that are necessary to do so. Maybe a heated discussion about fuel, spark, eec and the twin screw blowers would have more meaning.

At some point I think the differences between the KB, the Works 140 will mean something, but not now. No one even has these things turned all the way up.

Finally some one with a brain.......That is exactly what is happening out there Steve. It looks to me like 20lbs of boost is just about it, when you go up from there "STUFF" happens.

IMHO its not just fuel system and tuning related, there are some other things happening that they have to figure out.

My name is Dale and I own a Kenne-Bell

I take this back. I'm sure when Sal broke his crank he had his Works 140 likely at 30 lbs of boost and a 300 lb shot. But he doesn't count, he has issues from childhood.

Yep....Sal used his blower and nitrous to its full potential and then when he parked his truck, he had to pick up his crankshaft out of the dirt.....

Cool, let us know when you get it all figured out. I guess we'll see et's below the 10's with the correct fuel, spark, and eec parameters!

i guess what im wondering is that im going to order one of the three 112 140 or the KB to go along with my built engine, it will mainly be street racing, and im wondering if i should just fork over the extra k for the 140

IMO, the KB blower, and any other comparable blowers that may be out there, have already been figured out. It's quite a task getting these 4300+ lbs. hunk of metal in the 10's. Try it with any other vehicle, it's just as hard or possibly harder. There may be a little bit left in the tunes, but not much. I don't think were losing 50hp or anything w/ the tunes we have now. The next question is, what will it take to get to the 9's? Stroker, 30+ psi, stronger blocks/cranks that can take over 1000lbs torque. I'm sure we'll find out.

The KB is still in its infancy state along with the 140.....Don at Modular Madness just got his KB up to 27# of boost and made incredible numbers.....somewhere around 886hp...

At equal boost, both blowers are probably going to make about the same power. Remember the engine does not know what is on top of it. It only knows how much fuel and air it is getting. From what I have heard, both make about the same boost with equal sized pulleys. Skip

I agree with you on this particular comparison, Skip, but as a larger statement this is not true. A more efficient blower will produce more power -- power is about density, not boost. Hot air=less density.

Further, a more mechanically efficient blower will also produce more power because it is using less itself.

But the KB and Works are so similar in design, I would be surprised if they showed much difference PSIG-per-PSIG.
