My 03 L problem was...

A loose shock bolt, on the front passenger side. They tightened it up and the noise has gone away. (the problem was every time I'd go over a small bump in the road, my L made a rattleing noise, that sounded like it was coming from the bed/rearend area.) They were telling me it was about ready to fall out. So any 03 owners, may need to watch for this. I have over 11thou on my girl.

What did they say about the "excessive" play in the rear end?
I wonder if the same guy did the rear that installed the shocks?
Maybe he switched jobs at lunchtime .. ???

SVT-KY: They said it was normal free play. All rearends have that much free play in them. Of course I said B.S. I got home, and tested my ladies truck rearend, and hers is that loose also. I've even checked others cars/trucks lately, they thers is that loose too. So I am not going to worry about it, till it falls out on the ground.
