Weight of L rim

Can somebody tell me what the weight of a chrome 18" 1999 L rim with stock rubber would weigh. I'm trying to get a shipping quote.

thanks a lot!

don't hold your breath....

Hey dude,
No many people responding to wheel questions. I have posted twice looking for help and no good leads. I will say that I weighed my 02 stock rims (not chrome) with tires and they were 65lbs each. The Harley rims were like 85lbs each - they look good but are heavy that is why I want to get some 03 in chrome if possible, also so a Lightning wheel will be on it and people will stop thinking it's a Harley. (you'd be suprised, and I'm tired of explaining!)

The stock '99-00 wheels weigh 32 lbs. each and the '01-02 wheels weigh 35 lbs. each. It is reported that the 20" '01-02 factory replicas weigh 48 lbs each! The 20" Harley wheels weigh 81 lbs. with the tire.

My 02's wieghed in at 72 lbs with tire.

Hmmmm, my '02 rims weighed 36 lbs. on a certified scale. My '03s came in at 32 lbs., so I lost 16 lbs. of unsprung weight.
Are you back in town, Tim? How was the trip? That Canton pan is great, looks perfect for my use, and no interferance with oil filter.

35 is close enough for government work.

Yup, I am back in LA. Trip was great, but too damn short. Busy as a one-armed paperhanger already.

Glad the pan worked out for you. I'm surprised about the filter, but happy for you. I am thinking about installing an Accusump for now and saving the pan replacement until early '05, when the warranty runs out. Don't want to give Ford any reason to say that my increasingly annoying piston slap is caused by oil control problems. p.s. -- I guess you figured out that the Canton pan has a hole for a temp sender. Neat.

When is you next event, madman? I'm dying to see you turn in the slowest lap times of your life while you roast off a new set of Hoosiers getting a handle on the massive torque your new monster engine is laying down.

Hope the truck will be ready for the double practice at Ca. Speedway on 9/13-14. Not going to be roasting any tires, you know me better than that, always drive as though I have a raw egg under my foot.
