Exclamation Observations concerning BOP re-flash:

  • Mark appears to be one great guy. I'll do business with him again!
  • I have ‘99 cux1 with 90MM, crank vent, FTVB, no cats, spintech, oval throttle body, boost bypass and filter kit – runs great with out a chip!!!
  • Re-flasher enabled the electric fan, have not purchased fan yet – stay tuned.
  • Does not throw code for boost solenoid disconnect.
  • Boost now works with gear select in 1 and 2 position.
  • less popping when coasting down hill with throttle closed.
  • Sent PCM with note attached with desired enhancements, and a check list. The re-flasher refused
  • to indicate what changes were made.
ignition – had to send back, down
  • First attempt at Re-flash disabled my PATs and inhibited my ignition – had to send back, down for three weeks.
  • Have not Dyno'd, so I can't confirm if re-flash improved factory performance, but it does run better.

Angry Hey! My name is Gary [cux1]

I’ve been reading this forum for more than two years – please don’t drag me into your crap wars! I was only attempting to provide some unbiased comments regarding this process. If anyone has legitimate questions regarding my experience I’ll be happy to answer. I live in Maryland and have owned my truck for four years. I have received many helpful tips from this forum over the years and I thought that I would submit my comments on a nice MOD!

It is not Cyntaxx.
Reasons being:

1. Mods dont match.
2. Cyntaxx has a fan
3. Cyntaxx never re-sent his in
4. I showed him the thread and he started laughing at it.
5. Denied it was him

SO

WELCOME GARY!!!!

Way to jump the gun Vinnie!!! LOL

Not sure which ones you are talking about. I still have to get the grill painted. Also, I hope to get my traction bars, panhard bar, e-fan, and water pump in by Monday.

I have 3 different chips, two of which work very well. I may(?) get a reflash in the future.

A friend called me last night and told me how happy and satisfied he is with his 2000 L and his new reflash from BOP/Mark. He described it as "the truck drives better than it did with the 4-way chip(he owns)." He said it felt like it drove as it did when new and unchipped but with much more power/torque. He said he would bring it by my home after work today and let me drive it.

LightninRod,

Let us know what you think. Your truck compared to his. Thus far I am very satisfied.

Now what happened as far as the tranny?
Are the shift points dramatically changed? Does it shift better? No neck snapping shifts?
