Question Which mods void warranties?

I would like to know if you guys can enlighten me on which mods void waranties on the truck? I would also like to know if installing the Line Mod Valve on my truck would void the transmission warranty? I would also like to know specifically how much i can mod my truck without voiding any of the warranties.

Thank you,

Kyle

Basically, anything can void your warranty. Although people say Ford has to prove the mod caused the prob, youre still ****outofluck until you can get a rep to prove or disprove that happened. If you plan to mod, be forewarned youre rolling snakeyes.

They usually look the other way for high flow filters and exhaust. However, pulleys, VB's and misc mods are a sure tale to denial land. Ask around on the board for a mod friendly dealer around you. Believe it or not, they do exist. What part of Ca are you from? Good luck

The dealer out hear that I go to usually looks the other way with my mods but that is because I bought the truck from them used with mods on it already. But It is all up to the dealership. Ford is cracking down hard though so it is hard to tell anymore. Most dealerships will void for sure if you have either a chip, lower or upper pulley. More than likely with the line mod valve if the tranny goes your SOL but like **** said there are mod freindly dealers out there

anything that...........

is on your truck when you bring it in with a major problem.

The only thing that really hangs you is the chip. That the best mod and usually the first. So if you are gonna mod your truck, everyone usually goes with the chip, and from then on, no need to hold back because you are already screwed.

There is a new product out called the predator, made by diablo. This is supposed to perform the same tasks as a chip, but no need to touch your computer, plugs right in to your diagnostic port. Look into that.

I'm from northern California in a little town called Rohnert Park, its about 40 min North of the golden gate and is right next to a big town called Santa Rosa. I'm located in Sonoma county, do you know of any "Mod friendly" dealers in my area?

All the funny stuff aside you can mod the truck, all you want just remember that a ford dealer can and will try like hell to void your warranty if you blow it up.
I am on my 3rd motor now and fomoco really looked mine over good on the last one, right after all the new warranty procedures they came out with.
You just have to get to know a dealer that is SVT friendly and might not hurt to get to know the mechanic or a service writer real good just in case.
No matter what happens you better keep all the stock stuff because it all has to go back on when something bad happens.Took me two weeks to get mine ready and it all was taken care off by the dealer.
SEE YA!!!!
