How do I install an STOCK over-head console????

I just got an over-head console for my 2000 L I have no clue on where the wires it came with go. There is 3 blue, 1 white, 1 grey , and 1 red wire. Also bubba the person who sold it to me said that in order for me to connect the thermostat I need some kind of sensor? The reason I belive my truck doesnt have that sensor is because the truck did not come with the console. Where do I get this sensor? Thanks for any help.

you sure you dont have a 99? If you have a 2000, all of the component are most likely hiding above the headliner and you just have to hook em up.

I found out that the dealer just put on a 99 headliner and sun-visors. It does have the connections to the console which means it did have one. Now I have to buy the headliner and the sun-visors.

why would you do that? just take the liner off and cut a hole for it. The top of the console acts like a trim piece and hides the edges. I have taken mine apart to dynamat the roof..it took me about 25 mins to take it out, I could probably do it in 15 now.

The whole cab is too damn loud, these trucks have the worst road noise out of anything I have driven...it really drives me nuts on the hwy. I put dynamat in the doors and the ceiling, no I have to do the back wall and the whole floor. It does help if you use good stuff and take your time...

I have heard the next gen of f-150 has the problem fixed though..
