Vinnie, what set up do you have with box for your filter, with the shaker hood. I'm goin out to Terry,s in about a month or so for my shaker hood, and I wanted to know what your using and does it seal well? I have a Red 02, and I think that hood looks killer on your truck! I can't wait to get mine put on! Thanks alot, Jeff

I do believe he is using PSP's ram air setup. Then he took some of that rubber weatherstrip and put it on top of the box to seal the box to the ram air entrance of the hood.

Well they are both right( RobG and ****)

I did have JL box w/ the OEM wiper cowl gasket. Then I got the REM tube and didnot like the fit w/ the JL box (Some people have made it work) So I run the JDM kit now and have no problems.
The top of the filter is definately getting air as it is dirtier then the rest of the filter.

OLD JL box set-up (It did seal very well)

NEW JDM Set-up

I did not feel a difference either way. So if you want to spend the money on the JL box and gasket it would be more for cosmetic prefernce.
The JL box did look good IMO though (but make sure you use a gasket as it will scratch the inside of the hood).

No problem.

Since I got the Street scene wiper cowl, I had my OEM wiper cowl gasket laying around. So I used that and it looked and preformed perfect.

You could probaly get one at a junk yard for real cheap as it is just an F-150 piece.
