Unhappy

Pete, remember I was the guy who said, suck it up, stop whining all that stuff about the risks of making mods - well I am having to live by those words. LOL

Just speculation at this point but the new KB dyno'd 30 hp less than the first faulty one. I could definitely tell in the seat of the pants gauge. The power was not there at least not anything like the first one, it absolutely screamed on the road - she would rip through first and spin and grab through second, this new one wouldn't even scratch in first at a stand still (same chip and tune), even after detecting a valve body leak and fix, it wasn't the first KB - to put it pluntly I am very dissapointed and if we cannot determine another problem other than the KB I will be on the phone to KB this week. At least I know they are very willing to help and correct the situation, so I have faith in them!

This is getting very frustrating! But, as I have always accepted - when you are playing with fire, you need to be patient.. so that's what I am doing, hey....... I feel like family at REM now........ and thanks for stopping by!

Sorry, wrong part LOL, I have changed so many I am loosing touch. There was a slight vacuum leak from the "boost valve". To be honest I am not even certain if that is what it is called. The black saucer looking thing on the driver side rear of the blower, it controls a single blade inside the blower and it was slightly open, meaning boost was being dumped.

But even when that was fixed, the power was not there. Paul and Tim are going over the engine this week.

Hopefully I will be back on the road next weekend.

DLM

Thanks Rob, you have been a constant source of encouragement and I really appreciate it!

Hey, it gave me time today to, rotate the tires, change the oil, rad flush, new plugs, air filters, gas filter on my daily driver the '95 F-150. She is purring like a kitten.
