Exclamation Best Handling suspension?

Hey everyone i have been searching for decades and still havent been able to find the answer to my question.

I would like to know what the best handling suspension kit out there is. I know all about the Roush kit, Hotchkis kit and everything else out there. I also read that Stan from Ruslow makes springs with amazingly high spring rates (1100 - 1500 lbs) Is it possible to piece together a kit that wold handle better than these package kits?

I wanna know what to get to make an L handle as if it were on rails.

Can anyone help me out. At first i was thinking of going with the roush kit whith Qa1's or Penske's and hotchki sways, but now i am thinking that that may be too mild. Does stan at Ruslow sell a full kit by any chance. Sorry about all the questions but i am really frustrated.

handling can have to different meanings. To am old fart a smooth and couch like ride is the best and to a GT1 racer hard is the best.and you can not take a GT1 car that is set up on a smooth track and expect it to handle good on a rough track. You need to talk to the vendors of the stuff and tell them what you want what you are willing to give up and they can help you from there.Stan

Thanks stan, actually you were the man that i have been wanting to talk to recently. well pretty much what i want is to put together a kit that will drop the truck about as much as the Roush kit with the ability to take twisties with full authority (Hang with the vettes). Is there anyway you can help me out?

By the way I saw your IRP video, and wow. Amazing

One thing you must keep in mind is that you will never ever ever be able to hang with even a stock vette. Two reasons, one is traction control, which your car does not have, and second, but most important, is that you have a solid rear axle, which is not the greatest for handling...fix it up as much as you want, it wont stick as good as a vette(independent suspension).

The biggest bang for the buck is definitely the Roush kit, but the Hotchkis kit with QA1 shocks is about the best “kit” you are going to get. Of course you can drop in an IRS and some Penske shocks, but you will have spent some serious money and you will still have a truck.

I've messed around with many combinations.

Best for me: Roush kit, Roush shocks and Hotchkis sway bars. It's never going to handle like a 911, but not bad for 5000 lbs.

Jubelands - whats the purpose/goal of the suspension?

Are you going for:
Auto-X?
Occasional track days?
Full blown tracking like Stan?
Cruising around on the street?

Once you have that answered then you can start decide on whats out there.

I have the Hotchkis springs/leaf with QA1's and I enjoy it. For some unknown reason I still haven't been in or driven Dan's truck with the Roush springs/leafs to get a comparison between the 2 kits.

Well when i got the roush -- i asked about the spring rate. They said that they don't disclose the spring rates because of all the research they did in determining the best rates
