DYNO #'s and Trans Problems!!

Well went to the dyno thursday. Drove 1hr 1/2 cooled the truck long enough to strap it down and get some info from me and it made 392hp and 508tq with a 12.4 A/F across the rpm range. This was on the race setting.

Now the Trans problem.. Went to the strip last night ran a couple times and on the 3rd run I drove a buddy's LS1 and he drove my truck. Well he takes off good 60ft 1.81 and the damn thing goes to shift into second and it just starts reving likes it's in neutral.

Problem: Second gear is completely out you get on it in first and when it's suppose to shift it starts bouncing off the rev limiter. I pulled my chip, reset the computer still samething. I put the truck in 2nd manuelly and when you give it gas it just revs like hell and barely pulls.

Does anybody know what might be wrong the trans had no signs of going out or slipping.

First of all 392 hp is pretty weak for the mods you have and on a race setting...

392 is weak?? It was 92deg in the dyno I thought it was pretty good for 15min cool down off the high for no more mods than I got. The street setting made 382hp and 495 tq with the same A/F. Dyno your truck in alabama in the middle of the summer, then tell me it's weak.

Anyways I'm more concerned about the transmission. This thing had no signs at all of slipping or messing up then one run it justs decides to not shift to 2nd and ever since then it won't. Could it be something simple!! Like the Valve body.. Don't really know jack about auto trans so any help would be appreciated.

Maybe it's just me. I'm here in TN where summer heat and humidity are no stranger.

If you pay me gas money and dyno time I'll drive down there and we'll see what my truck dynos. I guarantee it will be around 550-600 rwhp on the race side and about 40 hp less on the street side. That is 100% humidity and 90°...

(FYI) Those numbers are not low. If he let it set for a couple of hours and ran it cold, he could have made more power. A different dyno could have netted better results, too. Who knows? The man has enough problems without you trying to give him extra grief. Why don't you cut him some slack?

Sorry. He made a post about about his dyno and I commented. I think 392 is low for a race chip and 14/15psi boost...

So what? I was just responding to the guy who thinks 392 rwhp is good for a race chip and 6psi extra boost...

If you didn't catch what he said to me why don't you reread the post. Or better yet here is what he said,"392 is weak?? Oh yeah, I think that his air fuel ratio is too high also. What about that?

Easterland,

Are you saying a 6 lber with chip and intake will net you over 170hp over stock #s, even with race programs?

Where did I even come close to saying that? I am saying 392 rwhp sucks for a race program and 6psi added boost and top it off he is running lean imo.
