slowing down

Truck seemes to be very slow lately. I can't figure out what is wrong. The other day I took off from the line and at about 100 mph the thing had a major studder and deep black smoke came out of the exhast. The dealership said it was a rev limiter (trust me this was no limiter) I had him change the fuel filter. The truck still feels slow and the thing won't even break tracktion anymore? Boost read 9 when normally it reads 10. Could this be it and why is this happening? I live in AZ and it is f**king hot here, Is that it and I'm over reacting.

Any suggestions. HELP

Check the plugs, Maybe your engine is having a hardship meaning, The plugs and the block are going to soon have a divorce.

Fuel pump? Did you check the pressure at the schrader valve. Mine was losing performance for the entire last week until it finally died on me last Friday.

All back and working just fine now.
