I don't mind the use of my photo at all. I never read the last few pages of this thread when it was first created, so I never even noticed my picture was being used in it. I was really surprised that the photo came out as well as it did, since it was actually taken through a bedroom window that also had a screen on it. I plan to duplicate the photo under better lighting conditions in the future, so I will be sure to make it availible for future hood brainstorming.

Just a quick update... there is a possibility that the hood design might become a reality. I'll start another thread soon with more details, but a major player in the industry will consider producing this hood if there's enough interest. We just have to demonstrate that there will be sufficient demand for that product, and they will make it happen. Stay tuned...

I like the photo "hood1c" the best. But I'd move the scoop rearward to about the same for-aft proportions as a current Mustang GT. I think it would be a bit more "ford like".

This might also lend it'self to a taller blower-to-intake interface.

I've seen that hood with vents here at a local Dealer in Mass. They were on Mustangs with shakerhood with those vented ribs. But they weren't good for rainy days the cuts were to deep leaving big gaps between ribs!
